BI Solution Architect – Data & Insights

Data is at the heart of our digital transformation and strategic decision-making. To meet the growing demand for actionable insights, we are looking for a BI Solution Architect.

In this role, you will act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate complex requirements into scalable BI solutions and help shape a future-oriented data strategy.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and refine their information needs and translate them into BI requirements.
• Design conceptual data models (e.g., star and snowflake schemas) that form the foundation for advanced analytics.
• Develop and maintain a BI solution blueprint, outlining data sources, transformation flows, and reporting guidelines.
• Partner with Data Engineers to ensure the delivery of accurate, reliable, and scalable datasets.
• Work closely with BI Developers to create dashboards and reports that meet agreed-upon standards.
• Validate BI solutions for accuracy, usability, and performance.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Proven experience in translating business questions into BI and data-driven solutions.
• Solid knowledge of dimensional modeling and data visualization best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including designing governed and scalable datasets.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and a collaborative team player.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern data architectures (e.g., Lakehouse, Medallion), preferably on Azure.
• Experience with dbt or data governance frameworks.
• Background in ESG reporting or prior experience in the energy sector.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Language skills

• Fluent in Dutch or French (native).
• Good understanding of the other national language and English (minimum B1).
